SeedVR2 Image + VideoGeneral-purpose upscales when you want factor or target-resolution control.Balanced sharpness with broad image and video coverage.Usually the baseline route; video pricing is estimated from metadata before launch.Start here for most assets, especially when you need predictable controls.
Topaz Image + VideoPremium enhancement for delivery assets, difficult footage, and restoration-style passes.Higher-end detail recovery and professional finishing bias.Premium route; video uses resolution-based pricing and may cost more at 1440p or 4K.Use for final selects or source media that deserves a higher-quality pass.
FlashVSR VideoFast video upscales for cheaper review or social post-processing passes.Speed-first video enhancement with practical temporal consistency.Lower-cost video route; MaxVideoAI estimates from duration, frames, and output pixels.Use when turnaround and cost matter more than premium restoration.
Recraft CrispStill-image references where small details, edges, and faces need extra clarity.Crisp raster detail for image-only enhancement.Low fixed image run pricing shown before generation.Use for character references, product stills, and prompt assets before reuse.

FAQ

Upscale details

Can it upscale video?

Yes. MaxVideoAI no longer applies a fixed 20 second cap. Video runs use metadata-based dynamic pricing and then follow the selected provider model's own limits.

Which model is the default?

SeedVR2 is the default for image and video because it supports current target-resolution and factor controls.

Will Upscale appear elsewhere?

Yes. The implementation uses a dedicated upscale surface so the same action can later be exposed from Library, generated jobs, Image, and Video flows.
